Garlic

Garlic is believed to help fight against colon cancer and H. Pylori bacteria, which has been linked to stomach cancer. The strong sulfur compounds present in garlic and it’s nice aroma may stop cancer-causing substances from forming in the body while also killing certain types of cancer cells and speeding up DNA recovery.

Broccoli

Broccoli contains powerful phytochemicals, such as glucosinolates that are released once chewed, which then releases protective enzymes in the body. A powerful enzymes known as sulforaphane is also released, which is said to help protect against mouth, stomach and esophagus cancers.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes are abundant in lycopene, which is what gives them their vibrant color. Lycopene is a powerful phytochemical that is very effective in fighting off prostate cancer and reduce tumor growth. It is also believed to reduce the risks for breast, lung and endometrial cnacer.

Lycopene, which gives tomatoes its color, is also found in high concentrations only in tomatoes. This phytochemical is most effective in fighting off prostate cancer but is also effective in stopping tumors in its tracks. It is a deterrent, also, for breast, lung, and endometrial cancer.

Berries

All berries are packed with cancer-fighting phytonutrients, especially black raspberries. These berries are contain high concentrations of phytochemicals, called anthocyanins, which slow down the growth of premalignant cells and prevent new blood vessels from forming (and possibly feeding cancerous tumors). Berries are also helpful in fighting against colon, oral, skin and esophageal cancer.

Walnuts

Walnuts contain phytosterols, which have been found to block estrogen receptors from forming in breast cancer cells, possibly slowing the cancerous cells growth. Walnuts may also be beneficial in prevent prostate cancer as well.
