Every year we are introduced to new health trends, diet plans, and superfoods. In the beginning, it was all about kale, quinoa, and goji berries, but over the years, health food experts have begun to explore a whole new world of superfoods and health food supplements. And while the existing are still just as wonderful as they were from day one, there are always new superfoods you may want to keep an eye out for.

Here the new 2017 superfoods:

1. Gelatin

People are often a bit thrown off when they first hear about gelation. However, this amazing product has a number of healing and health benefits for the body. Gelatin is derived from cows, pigs, and fish and is made up of the collagenous joints, tendons, and tissues.

Gelatin offers a number of benefits including improved sleep, digestion, and skin health. It is especially helpful for athletes or anyone who exercises regularly because it supports and improves overall joint health. However, gelatin is not vegan, so be sure your product is sourced from grass-fed and pasture raised animals.

2. Adaptogens

4. Watermelon Seeds        

Despite what you may have been told as a child, eating watermelon seeds will not grow into a huge watermelon in your belly. However, they do need to be sprouted and shelled before consumption.

Eating these amazing super seeds can result in healthy blood pressure levels, immune health, improved energy levels and much more! Watermelon seeds are also filled with high levels of protein, vitamin B, magnesium and monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats.

5. Chaga Mushrooms

Chaga is a fungus that grows on Birch trees and considered to be a powerful medicinal mushroom. It has incredible healing properties and a number of powerful nutrients, including B vitamins, minerals, enzymes, flavonoids, phenols, and antioxidants.
