Here are some recommend superfoods for a healthy prostate.

Bright colored foods such as blueberries, cherries, watermelons, grapes, tomatoes, cabbage, and cauliflower are all rich sources of vitamins K and E which are antioxidants. Antioxidants sooth cellular changes cause by prostatitis. They may also help prevent damage that is cause by free radicals by slowing down tumor growth. Consume 4-5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily to help maintain a healthy prostate.

Fiber Rich Foods

Foods high in fiber are one of the best when it comes to prostate health. Soluble and insoluble fiber both help prevent polyp formation and prevent carcinogenic activity in prostate cells. Fiber rich foods are foods like beans, fruits, vegetables, legumes, flax seed, whole grains, oats, etc.


Omega-3s are essential to a well-balanced diet. Anchovies, herring, sardines, and freshwater trout are good sources of omega-3s. Omega-3s offer numerous health benefits. Brazil nuts, almonds, pecans, and walnuts are all excellent for men’s health. Brazil nuts are high in essential nutrients such as selenium, vitamin E, and calcium. Studies have shown that selenium may help fight prostate cancer and protect the prostate gland. Nuts are antioxidant rich which may help boost prostate health as well. Although beneficial, nuts are still fatty. Remember to consume within moderation.
